Intense Pulsed Light Treatment for Rosacea

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Intense Pulsed Light, also known as IPL is a skin treatment that delivers high-intensity pulses of light that penetrate the skin and heat the sub-surface layers to reduce melanin. This results in healthier, smoother skin. IPL also stimulates the production of collagen, which plumps up the skin and gives you a fresher look and refines or tightens large pores. It can also be effective for hair removal.

IPL is sometimes referred to as a photo facial. IPL is not the same as a laser treatment. IPL Skin Treatments using photo rejuvenation often consists of a full-face treatment or treatment of isolated body areas like the hands or chest. It generally takes a series of treatments to see the best results, perhaps three to six treatments, usually a month apart.

It can treat a variety of skin conditions, including unwanted hair removal, age spots, sun burns, freckles, acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation and birthmarks.
